Piranha Parents,

Thank you for once again stepping up and volunteering at meets.  The more people volunteering helps everything move faster and more smoothly.

IMPORTANT: Coach Alice has asked us to all remind our swimmers of the Team Rules & Expectations signed by each swimmer and their parents at Registration.  Inappropriate behaviors and comments have been witnessed and reported regarding a number of swimmers, particularly during both Tuesday's Away Meet in Grandview and Thursday's Home Meet last week.  Each swimmer and parent is expected to be supportive of all swimmers, particularly our own team members, at all times, in both words and actions.  Horseplay and "mock fighting" among swimmers are not safe or appropriate behaviors at any time, especially on a wet pool deck.  Whether or not the swimmer making the statements meant them as "jokes," insults and taunts are just as hurtful, and are not part of the good sportsmanship we should all be demonstrating, swimmers and parents alike. 

Swimmers are also expected to be at practices every day, on time.  Swimmers cannot improve without practice!  Parents, please email Coach Alice at [email protected] or text her at 509-832-0716 if your family will be out of town, if your swimmer is ill, or has any other conflict.  If they are ill, please keep them home to avoid spreading the illness.

Please see the attached Team Rules & Expectations to review the consequences with your swimmer for failing to meet team expectations or demonstrating inappropriate behaviors, particularly after a verbal warning.  Encourage them to do their best, and be the best person possible.

Tuesday, June 26, we will be swimming in Sunnyside.  Their pool is the same length as Toppenish, which will be the location of both AAU Invitationals and Championships this year.  We highly encourage every swimmer to attend and participate this Tuesday night.

Thursday, June 27, Team Photos are scheduled and a Stroke Clinic will be held during our regular meet time.  Please watch for an email with more details on the Team Photos!

AAU Invitational Registration forms were initially due Tuesday, June 26th.  That date has now been extended to Friday, June 29th.  AAU's will be Sat, July 14 & Sun, July 15.  The form is attached.
